During my Masters, I sketched many many monsters made from factory parts: pipes, screws, chimneys, cogs, metal sheets etc. I became a little obsessed with drawing the intricate details; how the different machine parts would work together. Looking back, I wish that I'd included something more delicate and beautiful, but also strong and complex. Something quite like this little clockwork ballerina.
